Objective 1: Households supported to meet their basic needs, access shelter, NFIs and WASH services, and provided with cash-for-rent, etc.

Objective 2: Communities supported to implement self-protection strategies, to secure rights related to housing, land, property, legal identity, employment and legal stay; People receive case management support and legal assistance; Stakeholders benefit from capacity-building and evidence-based research, and settlement camp management is effectively supported to ensure safety and rights for all.

Objective 3: Local partners and community-led initiatives supported to effectively respond to the crisis through enhanced skills and knowledge.

Objective 4: Communities disaster preparedness capacities strengthened, and livelihoods supported through business start-up, improved access to financial services, enhanced food production, and access to WASH services; Education recovery supported and community structures strengthened to sustain resilience and development.

Risultati fasi precedenti:   SDC’s support to NRC’s response to the Sudan crisis began on 01.12.2023 (7F-11141.01.01). NRC expanded its efforts under the NRC Regional Response Plan 2024–2025, with continued funding from SDC (7F-11360.01). These efforts delivered critical emergency services, including WASH, food security, shelter, protection, education, and livelihood assistance. Looking ahead to 2026, NRC will phase out livelihoods and food security as core competencies, while continuing to support displaced populations by addressing structural barriers that prevent them from rebuilding their lives.
