Design a logo and win a big prize!

The year 2015 marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland. A series of official events as well as cultural activities will be held to celebrate this special occasion and look back on the rewarding and friendly cooperation between the two countries. The Embassy of Switzerland now announces a logo design competition for the “65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland”. The winner’s design will be used for all the promotional materials, Embassy’s website, social media as well as print materials throughout the years.
Artwork Considerations
- An entry could be an individual or a team project.
- The logo concept should be reflective of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland.
- The logo concept should work well on white and colored backgrounds and be easily adaptable for use on the production of giveaways, on the website as well as social media platforms.
- The image can be saved at a resolution that will enable us to zoom in to see details during judging, but the file size must not exceed 5MB and 1280 x 1024 pixels. File formats: .gif, .jpeg, .png
How to Enter
- Submit entries by email to bei.logo65thcompetition@eda.admin.ch
- Every entry should be accompanied by a brief written explanation of the design.
- The applicant/applicants’ basic information (name, age, gender, nationality, etc.) along with contact details should also be attached.
- Each participant can submit no more than three entries.
- Credit all persons involved in the creation of the piece. The Embassy of Switzerland will note be responsible for incorrect, illegible or incomplete credit information
Deadline:
All logos must be submitted online by November 3rd, 2014.
Judging
The winning design will be selected by the Ambassador of Switzerland and be announced on Embassy official Weibo no later than December 1st, 2014
Prize
The designer of the finally selected design will get prize money of 5,000 RMB and would be required to surrender copyright of the design to the Embassy of Switzerland.
The final selected logo shall become the intellectual property of the Embassy of Switzerland and the designer shall not have any right over the same.
Copyright and Usage
- Entries sent once shall not be returned.
- The Embassy of Switzerland will retain the copyright for any selected artwork and the entrants acknowledge the Embassy of Switzerland’s right to reproduce images of their work and showcase the design on the Embassy’s website, social media, print materials as well as any promotional materials at the Embassy’s events.
- The Embassy of Switzerland assumes all entries are original and are the works and property of the entrant, with all rights granted therein.
- The Embassy of Switzerland is not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the entrant and will not be involved in copyright disputes.
