The Shanghai Masters is one of the nine ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments and thus one of the tennis highlights of the season. It is the only ATP 1000 tournament played outside of Europe and North America and hence a great opportunity for all tennis fans in Asia to see world-class tennis live. This year’s Shanghai Masters features the two Swiss top-five players Roger Federer (ranked no. 3) and Stanislas Wawrinka (ranked no. 4) but neither could win the Shanghai tournament so far. Whether this year’s trophy will go to Switzerland will be decided between 4th - 12th October.
