On August 6th 2024, the Embassy of Switzerland celebrates the 50th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the Embassy complex on this site, which was completed in 1976. Prior to the move, the Embassy was located in a traditional courtyard in Nanheyan, but as the diplomatic relations between Switzerland and China expanded, the need for a larger Embassy arose.
This exhibition shows historical photographs of the Nanheyan period, the construction and opening of the current building, as well as some pictures of the Embassy today, highlighting the work that has been done to enhance the biodiversity of the garden.
Time: August 6 - September 6, 2024
