The purpose of this exhibition is to outline moments and gures of Swiss visual arts in the second half of the 20th century. To name a few: Josef Müller-Brockmann, the famous graphic designer who invented the grid system; artist Max Bill who strongly influenced the early days of Japanese design together with Brockmann; architect Le Corbusier, pioneer of the modernist movement; and illustrator Alois Carigiet, laureate of the the Hans Christian Andersen Award. Swiss made epoch-making products are exhibited along with posters portraying 100 years of Swiss Tourism history, and Heidi, the girl from the Alps.
