The donation consists of 63,700 disposable medical latex gloves, 54,600 disposable nitrile gloves and 760 liters of disinfectant for hands and surfaces.
The action was coordinated with country’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and is done as part of the Swiss-funded “Healthy Life: Reduction of Burden of Non-Communicable Diseases” project. Implemented by the Swiss Tropical and Public Health, "Healthy Life" focuses on the reduction of the burden of non-communicable diseases and the persons who suffer from such diseases, mainly adults older than 65 that face increased risks of getting the new virus.
Switzerland is one of the largest donors in Moldova’s health sector.
