Strengthening Accountability and Governance of NGOs in Nepal (SAGON)

Projekt abgeschlossen

NGOs in Nepal provide important social services and complement government efforts to promote socio-economic and political development. However, the limited management capacity and inadequate governance of many NGOs hampers effective service delivery. The project supports the NGO Federation and its members to improve their effectiveness, accountability and governance through capacity building and the establishment and monitoring of Internal Control Systems (ICS).

NGOs compliment the works of the government, private and international development actors in delivering services to the people in rural communities and facilitate process of civic engagement and social change by organizing, empowering and mobilizing communities, especially Disadvantaged Groups (DAGs).
