The Embassy of Switzerland in Manila is in close contact with the Philippine authorities to find solutions to the concerns of Swiss travelers. The possibilities of the Embassy to support the outward and/or onward journey are unfortunately limited in view of the current global environment or not available depending on the situation. Within the framework of the Federal Act on Swiss Citizens Abroad, every person is responsible for the preparation and implementation of a stay abroad or for carrying out an activity abroad.
If you are currently travelling in the Philippines as a tourist (not meant for permanent residents), please also make sure you are registered on Itineris so that you can be contacted by the Swiss embassy if necessary.
The Philippine authorities, in particular the Department of Tourism DOT, try to assist tourists with their domestic journey to the international airports. We have been informed by the DOT that all foreign nationals wishing to reach a Philippine international airport should go the following link and send their complete name, exact location and desired destination: Department of Tourism Facebook page (please go to the Messenger icon to post the requested information). The submitted information will be sent to the regional DOT offices for action by their provincial and city offices.

Im Rahmen des Auslandschweizergesetzes trägt jede Person die Verantwortung bei der Vorbereitung und Durchführung eines Auslandaufenthaltes oder bei der Ausübung einer Tätigkeit im Ausland.
Wenn Sie derzeit in den Philippinen als Tourist unterwegs sind (nicht für Personen mit ständigem Wohnsitz in den Philippinen), vergewissern Sie sich bitte auch, dass Sie bei Itineris registriert sind, damit Sie gegebenenfalls von der Schweizer Botschaft kontaktiert werden können.
Die philippinischen Behörden, insbesondere das Ministerium für Tourismus DOT, sind bestrebt Touristen bei ihren Anreisen zu den internationalen Flughäfen zu unterstützen. Wir wurden vom DOT darüber informiert, dass alle Ausländer, die einen internationalen philippinischen Flughafen erreichen möchten, über den folgenden Link ihren vollständigen Namen, den genauen Standort und das gewünschte Ziel senden sollten: Department of Tourism Facebook page (bitte gehen Sie auf das Messenger-Symbol, um die angeforderten Informationen zu übermitteln). Die eingereichten Informationen werden an die regionalen DOT-Büros gesendet, damit diese von ihren Provinz- und Stadtbüros bearbeitet werden können.
