The embassy is proud to take part in this year’s European Film Festival, which will be held from 12-26th May 2022!  We are part of 23 countries that will present a total of 24 films at the festival, showcasing the best of European cinema.  This year’s Swiss entry to the EUFF will be Atlas (2021) - directed by Swiss filmmaker Niccolò Castelli, it is a gripping story of resilience and renewal.  

Synopsis:

The long and painful fight of Allegra, the only survivor of a terrorist attack that killed three of her friends. Crushed and consumed by guilt and hatred, she is no longer herself. To regain her confidence, she must question herself. An unexpected encounter with Arad, a young refugee from the Middle East, helps her face the ghosts of her past and a trauma she is struggling to process.
