COVID-19: Current situation in Slovenia

The Slovenian government has introduced the following measures to curb the spread of the corona virus: 

  • From 8 June, residents of Liechtenstein and Switzerland can enter Slovenia without restrictions.
  • Border with Italy: Persons who are not Italian or Slovenian citizens, are only allowed to cross the border at the following border crossings: Škofije, Vrtojba, Fernetiči and Krvavi Potok.
  • Border with Austria: Persons who are not Austrian or Slovenian citizens are only allowed to cross the border at the following border crossings: Karavanke Tunnel (A11) - Karavanke (A2), Loibltunnel - Ljubelj, Spielfeld (motorway) - Šentilj (avtocesta), Spielfeld (railway station) - Šentilj (železniška postaja).
  • Gatherings in public places are limited to a maximum of 50 people until further notice.
  • Masks must be used in indoor public areas.
  • Number of confirmed cases by 3 July: 1649 (+16)
