The Common humanitarian Fund (CHF) is a relevant funding mechanism in light of UN harmonization as well as in light of the complex situation in Somalia to deliver aid in a timely and strategic manner. The CHF is one of the most important funding mechanisms for Somali NGOs, and the fourth-largest humanitarian funding channel for Somalia overall. The CHF will ensure that strategic and flexible funding is available for key actors who continue to have access and the capacity to scale up programs. Thus, operational NGOs will benefit from the CHF strategic allocation.
