Organized by the Trade Office of Swiss Industries with the support of the Swiss Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Industries (Swissmem), the Swiss Pavilion at TIMTOS 2019 exhibited the latest machine tools and tool technologies. 16 Swiss branch offices and local representatives in Taiwan covered a total of 46 Swiss brands which made the Swiss Pavilion the largest country pavilion presence.

The 6-day show was highlighted by the attendance of President Tsai Ing-Wen at the ribbon cutting of the grand opening ceremony and the visit of Director General Yang Jen-Ni, Bureau of Foreign Trade at the Swiss Pavilion.
Rolf Frei, Director of the Trade Office of Swiss Industries, pointed out that “Swiss companies provide innovative and flexible solutions in the production process. Higher precision, speed and productivity as well as user-friendly controls are of utmost importance to increase competitiveness and upgrade the industry”.

Another spotlight was set on the Swiss Pavilion’s “Happy Hour” networking event which took place on the 6th March with over 400 participants.
