Being Asia’s oldest and longest running international ethnographic film festival , the TIEFF will mark its 10th edition this year. The Festival has served to promote outstanding documentary films from around the world that are innovative, educational, and entertaining. This year’s theme, “Visions of Sovereignty,” explores our relationships with our land, our bodies, and with each other.

Out of 1190 submissions, only 36 films were selected for projection during the Festival and amongst is “BE' JAM BE the never ending song”, co-directed by Caroline Parietti (Switzerland) and Cyprien Ponson (France). With various awards and nominations, the 85 min-movie gives a glimpse at the Penan people of Sarawak, on the island of Borneo, and the challenges faced with the increased threat of deforestation and the changing landscape of their habitat.

“BE' JAM BE the never ending song” will be screened on Tuesday, 8th October at 14:30 pm at the Wonderful Theatre in Taipei.
