The Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan leads the current civil registry reform with financial support of the Government of Switzerland and UNDP.  On the same occasion, Switzerland allocates additional USD 700’000 to support the enhanced development of the civil registry capacities and services rendered by the offices operating in the remote areas of Tajikistan.

"These remote regions cannot be forgotten and Switzerland makes a point of honor to accord them a specific emphasis in a "leave-no-one-behind" approach"- noted Salome Steib, Director of the SCO in Tajikistan.

The Government of Switzerland in cooperation with the Government of Tajikistan is providing assistance to the improvement of vital public services as the essential condition to protect people’s rights and guarantee access to public services and justice for any person living in Tajikistan.
