Switzerland has 4 national languages:
German, French, Italian and – Romansh!

Romansh is a Rhaeto-Romanic language derived from Latin, which is spoken widely in the canton of Graubünden. Although Romansh is only spoken by some 60,000, it has five distinct dialects or idioms.

In the month of February, Romansh is taking center stage!
Learn about the language’s history and its role in Switzerland today. And, most importantly: Learn a few sentences to impress the Swiss on your next visit.

The Consulate General of Switzerland in New York is presenting  a film screening of "Amur Senza Fin" or "Hide and Seek" in English. The movie is the first-ever feature film in Romansh!
