The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the longstanding and friendly bilateral relations between Switzerland and Tanzania. Both parties expressed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation across key sectors of mutual interest.
During the discussions, Ambassador Providoli presented Switzerland’s new Africa Strategy 2025-2028, outlining the country’s vision for engagement with the African continent. The exchange also covered Switzerland’s development cooperation programme for Tanzania, economic and trade relations, and scholarship opportunities for Tanzanian students. Switzerland and Tanzania enjoy over 60 years of close bilateral relations.
