Over the last three decades of economic growth, Vietnam’s cities have been growing rapidly. This trend is set to continue as it is expected that until 2040, about 50% of Vietnam’s population will live in urban areas. Cities are major drivers of economic growth in Vietnam, as about 70% of GDP is generated in urban areas.
