The SDC’s impact

The SDC regularly informs the public by way of various reports on the results achieved through its projects and programmes.

Since 2016, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has:

  • reached 8.4 million people in emergency situations and assisted 1.2 million people in rebuilding their homes,
  • provided access to basic education and vocational skills development for nine million people, more than half of them women and girls,
  • enabled 3 million women to receive life-saving professional care during childbirth,
  • provided access to financial services for 1.4 million smallholder farmers.

These are just some of the key figures from the final report on the implementation of the Dispatch on Switzerland's International Cooperation 2017–20.
