Switzerland joined the World Bank in 1992 when voters approved accession with 56 percent of the vote. Membership in the World Bank represented an important change in direction for Swiss foreign policy. On the occasion of this anniversary, SECO, SDC, and the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) of the University of Bern would like to commemorate and take stock of the 25 years of successful cooperation between Switzerland and the World Bank, as well as discuss future collaboration. This event aims to facilitate an open dialogue between civil society, the private sector, academia, and public officials.

Exposición
La COSUDE participa en las actividades de reconstrucción y recuperación del norte de Malí, tras la crisis política y de seguridad del período 2012-2013. Una exposición de fotografías realizadas por siete fotógrafos malienses da voz a las mujeres y hombres que están rehaciendo poco a poco sus vidas en las ciudades de Tombuctú, Niafunké y Yuwaru.

Every day we see images of people who fled their homeland, only to tragically lose their lives. But what does it mean to be forced to abandon your home, work, family and country? The exhibition "Displaced" allows visitors to put themselves in the shoes of refugees and to get some idea of what it is like to be forced to flee one's home.
