En appuyant ce secteur, la Suisse favorise l’accès des populations à une information fiable et adaptée aux réalités locales. Elle contribue à contrer la désinformation, à promouvoir un journalisme éthique et à encourager une participation citoyenne inclusive et engagée tout en tenant compte des défis du secteur.
Support to Inclusive Political Dialogue

Amid rising political tensions and declining trust between key political actors, this intervention contributes to democratic governance, conflict prevention and the respect of human rights in Tanzania by supporting the Tanzania Center for Democracy (TCD). The latter will facilitate inclusive political dialogue ahead of the 2025 general elections, contribute to civic and electoral education, and enhance women and youth’s political participation. Co-funded with the Irish Embassy, the project promotes peaceful, participatory and credible electoral processes.
Oholo II - Scaling MSMEs through BDS providers

The project aims to increase economic opportunities especially for youth and women in northern Mozambique by promoting the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This will be achieved by strengthening the capacity of Business Development Services providers, which support MSMEs to improve their business and financial management practices as well as their access to markets and financial services.
Cholera Response Project, Single phase

Cholera is an endemic public health challenge in many northern Mozambican communities, with high rates of illness and death. With this project, Switzerland aims to reduce cholera incidence, morbidity, and mortality in targeted intervention areas by strengthening prevention and improving case management. This will be achieved by enhancing community awareness and hygiene practices, building the capacity of relevant local authorities, and strengthening disease surveillance and rapid response systems, thus allowing more effective reaction to sudden outbreaks.
Strengthening the Protection and Resilience of Vulnerable Refugees through targeted Multi-purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) in Moldova

The intervention, implemented by UNHCR, ensures continued multi-purpose cash assistance to the most vulnerable refugees from Ukraine in Moldova to help them meet their basic needs and reduce protection risks. It addresses critical gaps by offering immediate assistance and contributing to the gradual inclusion of refugees in national protection services.
Private Sector Partnerships in Health (PSPH)

The programme aims to provide better access to affordable and quality health services. This will be through development and support of health financing products (health insurances) for the mass market to reduce high out of pocket payments and the support to health service delivery through health networks of private sector providers. This mandate is promoting affordable service provision to the population, which also feeds into the development agenda of Somalia of working with the private sector to promote sustainability in development.
South East Asia Climate and Clean Air Initiative (SEACAI)

Southeast Asia experiences very harmful periods of air pollution every year causing health, environment and economic damage. Switzerland, Germany and France are joining forces to tackle sources of air pollution and global warming together in Southeast Asia. The project will identify and scale innovative solutions for reducing air and climate pollutants and provide Swiss know-how and experiences on clean air to support joint action, with a special focus on the Lower Mekong region.

The third-party monitoring mandate contributes to an accountable, evidence-based, and effective implementation of Switzerland’s country programme in Ukraine 2025-2028. Third-party monitoring activities accompany the implementation of the Swiss country programme and thus contribute to improved steering, learning, a stronger evidence-base, and ultimately enhanced accountability re-garding the use of public funds.

La Suisse soutient la Stratégie Régionale d’Inclusion Financière SRIF 2025 – 2030 de l’UEMOA afin de faciliter l’accès des populations les plus vulnérables à des services financiers et non financiers (assurances) adaptés et inclusifs. Cela permet de générer des revenus, de stabiliser les finances des ménages et d’ouvrir la voie à une inclusion sociale et économique plus large, en particulier des femmes et groupes mal desservis.
Colombia: UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund for Peacebuilding MPTF (phase 4)

Colombia’s “United Nations Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Peacebuilding” is a tripartite mechanism between the Government of Colombia, the United Nations, and more than 15 donors to support the implementation of the 2016 Colombian peace agreement between the government and Colombia’s former mayor rebel group. Its continued implementation is crucial to sustain peace, stability and human rights for the benefit of vulnerable communities in former conflict affected regions. Switzer-land’s contribution to the MPTF is a critical part of its comprehensive peace agenda to Colombia.
Markets and Seeds Access Project (MASAP)

This project contributes to improved resilient livelihoods of smallholder farmers by supporting climate-resilient crop value chains. It promotes private sector engagement, enhanced market systems, and supportive policies for small grains and legumes. Implemented by NIRAS with the Community Technology Development Organisation and the Swiss-based Research Institute of Organic Agriculture, the project will expand in Zimbabwe while exiting Zambia after two agricultural seasons to ensure a responsible phase-out.
