Global Compact Network 2023-2026

Since 2019, the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland and Liechtenstein (GCNSL) has reinforced its capabilities and member basis, thus strengthening the implementation of responsible and sustainable business conduct within the highly internationalised Swiss private sector. The next phase will focus on scaling up impact and broaden partnerships with local networks in emerging and developing countries and fragile contexts to expand the contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Contexte The 2030 Agenda can only be achieved by joining forces with all relevant stakeholders, including the private sector. This is why Switzerland’s International Cooperation Strategy 2021–24 prioritises increasingly the mobilisation of private sector expertise and resources. GCNSL has become an important platform to engage with the Swiss private sector, to promote responsible business conduct, to stimulate the dialogue and tap into the private sector's expertise to effectively engage on a pathway to sustainability. The increasing cooperation between GCNSL and other local networks in emerging and developing countries reinforces the impact of the partnership in countries and among vulnerable groupes especially relevant for SDC.
