Media Corner

On 17 October and 18 October 2024, the Ukraine Mine Action Conference (UMAC) will take place in Lausanne. Media representatives may access all relevant information on the event in the media corner. This information will be updated and new information added on a regular basis.

Media registration is now closed.

Media workstations

A limited number of workstations will be available at the venue for accredited journalists. Media representatives should bring their own adaptors to ensure that their devices can be connected to Swiss power outlets. Wifi is available in all areas of the conference venue. Accredited media representatives will have full access to the conference, with the exception of the panels, which can be followed by live-streaming. During media center opening hours the media desk can answer questions about working on site.

  • Thursday, 17 October: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday, 18 October: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Accreditation & badge collection

Media registration opened on September 16 and is now closed. Only accredited media representatives will have physical access to the venue. For security reasons, on-site registration is not possible.

The badge collection desk is located at the EHL entrance and open on Thursday, 17 October 2024, as of 8:00 a.m. Early badge collection is not possible.

To receive the badge, please bring a valid ID or passport to identify yourself. Allow enough time to collect the badge. Security checks will be carried out every time before entering the conference area.

Programme

The conference agenda features a high-level segment on Thursday 17 October, followed by an expert segment on Friday 18 October. The joint press conference of Switzerland and Ukraine will be held on Thursday, 17 October, at 1 p.m.

A backdrop with the Conference logo will be made available for interviews or stand-up. Media representatives must bring their own broadcasting and recording equipment.

Venue

The UMAC 2024 will take place at the EHL Hospitality Business School in Lausanne (Route de Berne 301, 1000 Lausanne 25).

Directions

From Lausanne train station, take the M2 metro line in the direction of Croisettes and get off at the penultimate station (Vennes). From there you can take a free shuttle bus (operation times: 7:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Friday) or the public transportation to the EHL.
