Bern, Press releases, 16.03.2010

Federal Councillor Micheline Calmy-Rey, head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), today paid a working visit to Berlin to hold talks with the German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle.

During the working visit, Mrs Calmy-Rey discussed current bilateral and international issues with her German counterpart.

The bilateral problems between Switzerland and Libya were also on the agenda of the talks between the two foreign ministers.

Swiss citizen Max Göldi has been detained in Libya for over a year and a half. The FDFA is making every effort to bring about the release of Max Göldi. Switzerland is working hard to find a diplomatic solution.
