Switzerland supports 12 projects in Croatia with its EU enlargement contribution.
Switzerland uses its enlargement contribution to encourage the building and development of drinking-water and wastewater systems, foster research cooperation between Switzerland and Croatia and assist efforts to clear landmines left over from the war in the former Yugoslavia.
Switzerland has concluded a bilateral framework agreement with Croatia. Switzerland decides in consultation with Croatia and independently of the EU which projects it will support.
