Bus Terminal Pardubice

In the last five years, the city of Pardubice has experienced noticeable rises in the use of private cars including the associated negative consequences such as higher levels of air pollution, congestion and traffic accidents. The project aims to improve the quality of public transport in the city of Pardubice by modernizing the present public transport system and by more efficiently integrating urban and regional buses, railway and bicycle transport by creating a multimodal transport node.

Tram Project Olomouc

The district of Nové Sady is one of Olomouc’s largest urban districts. In terms of public transport, the district is only served by buses and easily accessible by car. The heavy car and bus traffic results in frequent congestion and causes a deterioration of the air quality, not only in this area but also across the entire City of Olomouc. The project therefore aims to enhance the public transport infrastructure of Olomouc and thus improve the air quality (mitigation of greenhouse gas- and other hazardous emissions) by constructing a tram network extension from Olomouc’s city centre towards the densely populated Nové Sady district.

La Suisse soutient, à Ostrava, la construction d’une ligne de trolleybus longue de 3 km et le réaménagement de cinq arrêts de bus afin de les rendre adaptés aux personnes handicapées. Le projet permettra d’améliorer les lignes au centre-ville et de réduire la pollution de l’air.

Tram Project Ostrava

The Ostrava region is confronted with rather low air quality and is currently experiencing economic and industrial transitions with considerable implications for the local transport system. The project aims to improve safety for public transport users, to enhance the public transport infrastructure of Ostrava and to reduce air pollution. It is foreseen to extend a tram line, to build two connections from the tram to the bus system and to enhance two key tram stops in the city centre also for the needs of handicapped people.

Public Transport Project Uhersky Brod

The current state of Uhersky Brod’s railway station and its vicinity reflects prevailing attitudes in the second half of the 20th century, when hardly any investment was directed towards public transport. The current traffic situation within the project perimeter is characterised by uncoordinated passenger movements in front of the railway station and an increased collision risk between pedestrians and road vehicles. The project aims to improve the quality of public transport in the city of Uhersky Brod by more efficiently integrating buses and railway transport by creating a multimodal transport system.

Public Transport Project Beroun

In the city of Beroun, which is situated on rail line between Prague and Plzeň, the primary train and bus stations are separated by approximately 1 km which is highlighted as a weak point in the municipal and regional transport system. The aim of the project is to improve the interchange opportunities between bus- and train services. These concern the passenger facilities at the railway station, the spatial separation between the railway station and the current bus terminal and the accessibility of the train station by bicycle, taxi and private car.

SME financing has been identified as a priority under the Swiss-Czech Cooperation Programme. The pilot INOSTART Programme will respond to the existing gap on the Czech financial market by providing investment loans, which are backed by preferential guarantees and complemented by targeted technical assistance, to start-ups with innovative business plans. Thereby, INOSTART will increase the access to long-term finance for Czech start-up enterprises so that they can enhance their growth, innovation and ultimately their competitiveness potential.
