FDFA recommendations for travelling abroad
Travel responsibly and take time to plan and organise your trip. The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) recommends that you download the Travel Admin app, register, and enter your trips abroad before leaving for your holiday.

Entry requirements
Current situation
Myanmar has implemented various measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. We recommend to all Swiss nationals who are currently in Myanmar to follow the information, recommendations and measures of the Myanmar authorities.
Public gatherings are limited to 400 people. Health protocols, such as the requirement to wear facemasks in public, practice personal hygiene, and maintain physical distance are still in effect.
A nationwide curfew is in place and varies on location. In Yangon and Naypyidaw, the curfew is from 00:00 to 04:00 am. In most other parts of Myanmar, the curfew is reportedly from 10:00 pm to 04:00 am.
Vaccine
Vaccination for Swiss citizens living abroad
Some COVID-19 vaccines are allowed to be used in Myanmar including CoronaVac, AstraZeneca, CoviShield, Pfizer BioNTech, Comirnaty, Janssen or Johnson&Johnson, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sputnik V and Covaxin.
In Yangon, some private hospitals offer COVID-19 vaccination programs by registration. Swiss citizens in Myanmar who wish to be vaccinated should contact the clinics directly for more information.

Entry to Myanmar
International commercial flights to Myanmar have resumed.
Swiss nationals must apply for a visa to enter Myanmar. The online e-Visa system is available again for tourist and business visa applications in accordance with the Covid-19 rules and regulations of the Ministry of Health. Requirements are available at the Ministry’s website.
