Emergencies abroad

Swiss and Liechtenstein citizens facing serious difficulties can contact the Swiss representations or the FDFA Helpline. The FDFA only provides assistance when those affected have taken all reasonable measures to handle the situation and raise the funds they need.

Recommendations for Swiss citizens in the event of a crisis

We invite you to follow the basic emergency recommendations ‘Precautionary measures and behaviour in a crisis situation’ below (available in German and French only), which we consider to be a reasonable general measure of preparation.

Should a crisis arise, the Embassy will contact you and inform you. Please ensure that you inform the Embassy of any change of address, email address, telephone number, etc. and inform us of your final departure from Tunisia.

Please note that information will be sent mainly by e-mail.

For further information, please contact the embassy.
