The Swiss Government Travel Center (SGTC) is the federal administration’s competence center for business travel matters. It procures business travel services, according to federal administration’s needs, assures client-oriented sales and offers travel management support.
On the basis of the Ordinance on the Organisation of the Federal Administration's Public Procurement (SR 172.056.15), the SGTC acts as the central procurement entity for the federal administration's business travel matters.
The SGTC procures and provides rail transport, air travel, hotel and rental car services to members of the Federal Council, members of Parliament, employees of the federal administration, consultants, experts, institutions with strong links to the federal government and other people travelling on behalf of or at the expense of the Confederation. It supports the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) in organising air repatriation of foreign nationals and asylum cases as well as air travel for the authorised entry of asylum seekers.
The SGTC offers its customers advice in travel and cost optimisation and provides the required decision-making information.
