A Memorandum of Understanding for the second phase of the Enhancing Nutrition of Upland Farming Families (ENUFF) Project is signed by Dr Phonepaseuth Ounaphom, Director General of the Department of Hygiene and Health Promotion of the Ministry of Health and Dr Allert van den Ham, Country Director of SNV – Netherlands Development Organisation in Laos, Bangladesh and Myanmar on 9 January 2021. The government of Switzerland has committed 6.8 million USD through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation to implement the project in Oudomxay and Houaphan provinces. The ENUFF II will run from signing date until June 2024.

Ms Bimoua joinged the Swiss Cooperation Office in Vientiane Capital, Laos as a Junior Program Officer Intern in 2017 and was placed in the Knowledge for Development project in Lao PDR with Centre for Development and Environment (CDE), which is one of the University of Bern’s strategic research centers as an IT Assistant. In a landmark decision in the fight against climate change, on 19 August 2020 the Federal Council approved a USD 150 million contribution to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) over the next four years. The GCF helps developing countries implement the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change by funding their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change.
