The Federal Council approves the cooperation agreement with the EU in terms of the participation of Switzerland in the European programs of satellite navigation Galileo and EGNOS.



Three federal councillors Simonetta Sommaruga, Johann Schneider-Ammann and Didier Burkhalter, and the president of the Conference of Cantonal Governments, Cantonal Councillor Pascal Broulis present the position of the Federal Council about the «Stop mass immigration» Initiative, which is being put to a popular vote on 9 February 2014



The Federal Council has issued a dispatch on the federal popular initiative entitled «Stop overpopulation - safeguard our natural environment». Parliament is requested to put the initiative to the vote among the electorate and cantons, with the recommendation to reject the proposal.



The Federal Council approves the negotiating mandates to pursue the Swiss participation to the framework programs of the EU in the fields of research and innovation, education, vocational training, youth and sport as well as film promotion (MEDIA).
