Catherine Lovey studied economy and criminology. Her books observe with a lot of humor, but bluntly the spectrum of our society. After Un roman russe et drôle, greeted by the critics and translated into Russian, Monsieur et Madame Rivaz brings to life a heroine with a spirit of Don Quichotte. A great contemporary roman; carrying a strong, but refreshingly rage. Cathrine Lovey already came to Hong Kong in 2007 to present her first roman, L’homme interdit, for which she received the Foundation Schiller Price.

This year, the 6th Inter-University German Speech Competition will be held with the theme being: "Höher, schneller, weiter?" (Higher, faster, further?). This motto matches the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, which just ended recently, and it is not restricted to sports only. Around the globe, especially in Hong Kong, peak performances are nowadays expected in every area. We pose a question to our candidates: Can we still go on with such high expectations and do we have to do so?

In his works, Meier tries to make sense of these questions through musical compositions and installations. His works have been shown at international venues and events, such as Palais de Tokyo and Art Basel Switzerland.
