The Embassy of Switzerland in China is proud to announce the launch of the Eat Swiss campaign with an exclusive culinary collaboration at DuLi between acclaimed Swiss chef Michaela Frank and Beijing’s beloved plant-based restaurant DuLi(度粒). From 11th to 26th September 2025, Chef Michaela will take over DuLi’s kitchen, presenting a special Swiss-inspired menu that reimagines alpine traditions through the lens of sustainability, creativity, and cross-cultural exchange. This culinary showcase is a highlight of a series of Embassy-led initiatives celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and China.

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and China, the Swiss Embassy in China together with Presence Switzerland, and the Chinese Language Centre of China Media Group (CMG) have co-produced a two-episode documentary, Into Switzerland showcasing Swiss trust, innovation and sustainability. The first episode will premiere on CCTV-4 on September 14 at 22:00, with the second episode airing on September 21.

To celebrate outstanding business achievements of Swiss companies in China and mark the 75th Anniversary of Sino-Swiss bilateral relations, the biannual Sino-Swiss Business Awards announced this year’s winners in five award categories during an exclusive gala evening. Organized by SwissCham China, in partnership with the Embassy of Switzerland in China, the event welcomed over 400 distinguished guests, including Swiss President of the Council of States Andrea Caroni, Member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Vice-Chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee of the National People's Congress Guo Shuqing and top political and business leaders from both Switzerland and China.

Today, the exhibition ‘Cosmos Archaeology: Exploration in Time and Space’, jointly organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in China, the National Museum of China (NMC), and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), with support from the Department of Astronomy and the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University, was officially unveiled at the NMC. Swiss Ambassador to China Jürg Burri, Director of the National Museum Luo Wenli, Curator of the exhibition EPFL Professor Sarah Kenderdine, and co-curators Prof. Jean-Paul Kneib, Prof. Shi Danqing and Long Xingru participated the opening ceremony.

On May 22, the Beijing Dangdai Art Fair opened at the China National Agricultural Exhibition Centre, bringing together 121 art institutions from 32 cities across 12 countries. This year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and China. For the first time, the Embassy of Switzerland in China is participating with a special art project. The head of Switzerland's Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Ignazio Cassis, visited the People's Republic of China on 24 and 25 April 2025. His visit marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Switzerland established official relations with China in 1950, making it one of the first European countries to do so. In addition to an official meeting with China's foreign minister, Wang Yi, Mr Cassis' visit focused on efforts to modernise the free trade agreement (FTA) between the two countries in order to improve market access for Swiss companies.

As Switzerland and China mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025, Switzerland is proud to be the Country of Honor at the 15th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) from April 18 to 26, a highlight of this jubilee year and of the Sino-Swiss Year of Culture and Tourism. The announcement was made today (April 19) during a press conference at the Swiss Embassy in Beijing, which brought together Swiss Ambassador to China Jürg Burri, Deputy Secretary-General of BJIFF Organizing Committee Bian Jian, and the Swiss film delegation. The event provided insights into Switzerland’s participation and its vision for deepening cinematic exchange with China.
