The fees are set out in Article 46 and Annex 2 of the Ordinance on Identity Documents for Swiss Nationals (SR 143.116). These are payable in the currency determined by the Swiss representation.

The passport and the ID card are posted separately (different places of production)
*These delivery fees are for forwarding from the place of production in Switzerland to the Swiss representation abroad or to the holder of the identity document abroad.
The exact amount in CNY and the exchange rate have to be asked at the Embassy / Consulate General. If the documents are to be send to your domicile by the Embassy / Consulate General an additional fee of CNY 30.00 per delivery will be payable.
Please bring the money in cash with you when you show up at the Embassy / Consulate General to record your biometric data. As soon as all your biometric data are recorded, your request will be transmitted to Switzerland, where the passport/ID-card will be issued. It will take approximately one month, until you can pick up your new identification document at the Embassy / Consulate General.
