Switzerland has again an Embassy in Iraq, after almost 20 years without a physical presence in Bagdad. Together with my team, I have the honor to re-open the Swiss representation and make sure that the Swiss flag is again permanently flying in the Iraqi capital.

Iraq is an important partner country for Switzerland in the Middle East region. Against this background, my colleagues and I at the Embassy of Switzerland are committed to develop and intensify the bilateral relations between our two nations and peoples.

The Embassy will be the primary contact point for Swiss activities in Iraq. Our team stands ready to support you in your endeavors, be they in the political, economic or cultural fields. Consular and visa matters continue to be handled by the Embassy of Switzerland in Amman, Jordan.
