You can apply online for your passport and identity card. Once your application is reviewed, you receive an invitation to record your biometric data at the competent Swiss representation. Be sure to check the expiry date on your current passport and identity card and leave enough time to order new ones.
The Regional Consular Centre Bangkok (RCC) will be setting up a mobile passport station at the Swiss Embassy in Kuala Lumpur from 20 – 24 November 2023. This will be an opportunity for Swiss citizens to renew their passports or identity cards in Malaysia. Further details will be mailed to all registered Swiss citizens by RCC sometime in September 2023.
