Center for Roma Language: Cultural Awareness Training inaugurated

The Roma Center for language - Cultural awareness training within the Police training Centre in Slatina, was inaugurated on March 12, 2014.

The Center for Roma Language - Cultural Awareness Training, a unique facility of this kind in Europe, consists of a fully equipped and renovated language class room and specific materials for learning of Roma language. Furthermore, several former military dormitories of the Police Training Center were converted to accommodation spaces (for 20-25 people). The Centre is part of the project related to Promoting community policing within rural areas implemented by the Romanian Police in cooperation with experts from Savatan Police Academy in Geneva, Switzerland.
