Swiss residence permit information

If you have a valid residence permit issued by a Schengen state and your passport is valid, you do not normally need an entry visa for Switzerland. Please contact the responsible cantonal migration authority in Switzerland directly to find out what the requirements are for regulating your stay directly there.

Where to apply for a national visa?

If you are not obliged to hold a visa, you are allowed to enter Switzerland without visa. However you are obliged to register within 14 days on arrival in Switzerland at the competent cantonal authority of your place of residence.
