Dear visitors,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine. Here you can find information on all facets of the relations between the two countries.

The political, economic, cultural and social ties between Switzerland and Ukraine have been evolving since the declaration of Ukraine’s independence in 1991. Swiss cooperation has been present in Ukraine for more than 30 years, implementing a large number of projects in the areas of protection, health care, digital transformation, and more. To back up these words, before 2022, Switzerland was the fifth-largest bilateral donor and fourth-largest bilateral investor to Ukraine.

Switzerland condemns Russia’s unprovoked military aggression against Ukraine in the strongest possible terms and has adopted all EU sanction packages against Russia. By co-hosting the first Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano in July 2022, our two governments launched the reconstruction and recovery process of Ukraine. For 2025-2028, a cooperation budget of more than 1.5 billion Swiss francs is foreseen.

Our projects and endeavors in the areas of humanitarian aid, development cooperation, humanitarian demining and reconstruction, as well as human rights protection and accountability form the cornerstone of our presence in the country and are proof of our unwavering solidarity with the people of Ukraine. This solidarity is also in the hearts of the Swiss people, who welcomed more than 90,000 Ukrainians seeking refuge in Switzerland and who donated over 400 million Swiss francs to humanitarian projects in Ukraine in 2022 alone.

Thus, for us, neutrality does not mean indifference. We hear Ukraine, and we provide support to the country and its people.

Switzerland and Ukraine share many common values and principles. Both are proud of their history, their sovereignty, as well as their culture and traditions. Both drive for innovative solutions in a number of areas. These experiences and solutions can be shared with each other. As the official representation of Switzerland in Ukraine, we strive every day to maintain and foster our bonds.

I wish you a pleasant and instructive visit to our website and invite you to share with us any suggestions you may have  . Of course, we are also present on social media, please follow us on X and Facebook
