Under the Pretty Good Film Festival campaign, the Embassy plans to organize a series of screenings of Swiss films (fiction, documentary, animation, short film), putting ECONOMY under spotlight. This year's lineup includes eight films: four documentaries, two narrative features and two animations.
On August 6th 2024, the Embassy of Switzerland celebrates the 50th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the Embassy complex on this site, which was completed in 1976. Prior to the move, the Embassy was located in a traditional courtyard in Nanheyan. This exhibition shows historical photographs of the Nanheyan period, the construction and opening of the current building, as well as some pictures of the Embassy today.

From 2016-2019, the Swiss artist/researcher Catherine Gfeller travelled several times to different cities in China, where she met quite a lot of women with various background. She spent days or nights talking with them, taking their photos and videos, getting to know their working environment or favourite places for entertainment, etc., in order to understand their personal point of view when they are immersed in the city with all their senses. An exhibition with all those materials will be open to the public at the Embassy of Switzerland in Beijing, China.
