Switzerland will support two new projects supporting the objective of combating gender-based violence

On the occasion of the launch of the campaign "6 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence" we announce the launch of two projects, which support the objective of combating gender-based violence. 

UN Women will implement a USD 1.6 million project, to which Switzerland has contributed with 724 thousand Swiss francs. In line with Swiss priorities and expertise, the project strengthens the role and participation of women in providing humanitarian assistance and promoting peace-building initiatives. The initiative thus empowers women leaders and women's civil society groups to actively contribute to peaceful coexistence, dialogue and community development, as well as to mitigate protection risks. 

The International Organisation for Migration will implement a project aimed at reducing the vulnerabilities of forcibly displaced populations from Ukraine to Moldova. The initiative focuses on strengthening protection and anti-trafficking services at local and central level. the local and central protection and anti-trafficking services. Switzerland contributes with CHF 900,000 to this project.
