A competition for young historians

Young historians from all universities in Russia and Ukraine are encouraged to participate in a competition coordinated by the University of Geneva and financially supported by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. If you are interested in Ukrainian and Russian history: Apply for this unique joint research project and win 3000 Swiss Francs! 

We invite Master students and PhD candidates in history to elaborate a research paper on one of the following three subjects:

  1. The image of the “Other” 
  2. Migration, mobility and exile 
  3. Historiography and memory politics 

The participants will work in joint Russian-Ukrainian teams and will participate in a joint reflection on the conflicts of memory in both countries.
