Representation Agreement in Chicago

Starting October 03, 2022, the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania will once again process applications for short stays up to 90 days (Schengen visa) for the purpose of business, tourism and visits to family/friends.

Valid for residents of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas,  Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin with the exception of:

  • holders of diplomatic, service or special passports
  • citizens of
    • United States of America
    • State of Eritrea
    • the Republic of Irak
    • Democratic Republic of the Congo
    • Federal Republic of Somalia
    • Russian Federation
    • Republic of Belarus
  • visa for which an authorization has been given directly in Switzerland
  • stays over 90 days (visa type D)
  • gainful activity (including chauffeurs and journalists)
  • medical purposes
  • official purpose, including attendance at international conferences
  • visa with limited territorial validity (except when linked to art. 25 (3) of the Visa Code)
