Although climate change initiatives are increasing, there is little ground (capacity, data, etc.) for informed decision making and few coordination among countries of the Andes. The proposal allows for increasing actions and synergies with ongoing and planned initiatives of SDC (PACC, RRD, Bosques Andinos Monitoreo Glaciares, MAPs,) in the field of policy dialogue on climate change and development. Besides, this initiative contributes to a coordinated effort among different actors (SGCAN, GEF, AECID and universities) to improve the information system in the Andean Region.
