The city's official website has been redesigned and now includes a separate City Assembly portal, a budget portal, and a special segment dedicated to open data and sustainable development goals. The budget portal will enable citizens to access information and provide them the opportunity to propose projects to city officials while still in the budget planning stage.

Support to the City of Zrenjanin has been provided through the project “Strengthening the Oversight Function and Transparency of the Parliament”, supported by the Government of Switzerland in the amount of EUR 4.5 million and has been implemented by the UNDP in selected cities for the past seven years.
