The second phase of the Swiss-supported project „For an Active Civil Society Together“ (ACT-2), is designed as a four-year intervention with the aim to address the challenges that civil society activism faces in Serbia. This will be achieved by influencing public policies and holding authorities accountable by engaging in a public dialogue, participatory decision making and advocacy processes at local and national level, through and with support of strengthened, constituency – based, mission-driven and mutually connected CSOs, informal groups and other stakeholders.

ACT-2 support program consists of financial and non-financial support. Selected civil society partner organizations can expect financial support in the next 2.5 years in the amount of up to EUR 50,000 per organization. Non-financial support will be provided in terms of development and strengthening of organizational capacities including intensive support of mentors and through various and needed trainings adapted to each individual organization.

The result that is expected at the end is that civil society partner organizations that have gone through the path of growth and development within the ACT-2 support program have: different sources of funding, strengthened advocacy skills and expanded/increased their citizen support base. Detailed information about the support program, can be found on the website of the ACT project.
