Regional Consular Centre London

Consular Services

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Regional Consular Centre (RCC) has adapted its activities.

The reception desk of the RCC is open on working days between 9:00 and 12:00 for procedures requiring a physical presence, i.e. for marriage preparations and legalizations. All other consular matters are being dealt with by email and post, and the previous walk-in service is no longer available. Due to the exceptional circumstances, the RCC is currently facing a high volume of inquiries. Despite the efforts of the RCC, the processing of your request or your documents therefore takes longer.

Where personal presence is required, an appointment must be arranged. Please contact the RCC in a timely manner in order to obtain an appointment.

In order to comply with social distancing guidelines, only visitors with an appointment are allowed to enter the Embassy’s premises. Furthermore, it is obligatory for visitors to wear a face mask within the premises of the Embassy. This is to ensure the safety of customers and staff.

Life and marital status certificates for the AVS/AHV Swiss citizens

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Central Compensation Office CCO in Geneva exceptionally accepts life certificates completed and signed by pensioners themselves until 30.04.2021. The certificates may be sent together with a copy of an identity document directly by e-mail to: sedmaster@zas.admin.ch.

For further questions, you may also contact the CCO by telephone: +41 58 461 91 11.

Passport / ID card application

Please note that the RCC is experiencing a substantial backlog of applications due to COVID-19 and it therefore takes longer than usual to obtain new Swiss identity documents. Applications will be processed in order of receipt.

Booking any trips while you do not hold a valid passport/ID card is at your own risk.
