Sri Lanka, Floods 2017, Sarvodaya, Provision of immediate relief and supporting recovery of flood-affected communities
Project completed
Over 588’000 people have been affected by heavy rains that triggered floods in southwestern Sri Lanka at the end of May. Landslides and flooding have constrained access to heavily affected areas. This contribution will support Sarvodaya, a local organization already strongly present through its large network of volunteers on the ground and with solid experience in disaster management, in providing food and non-food aid to IDPs affected by the floods.
