The SDC supports the Geneva Health Forum

The Geneva Health Forum will take place in Geneva from 19– 21 April. The SDC is supporting the international conference and will be actively involved through a number of activities. Healthcare professionals will discuss the topic of 'Global Health: Sustainable and Affordable Innovations in Healthcare'.

This year's Geneva Health Forum on the topic of 'Global Health: Sustainable and Affordable Innovations in Healthcare' will take place in Geneva from 19–21 April 2016. The conference will bring together healthcare policymakers, practitioners and experts from the strategic sector. The discussions will be enhanced through various sessions and workshops.

The SDC is carrying out a lunch session on the topic of 'From One Health to Ecohealth to Planetary Health' and another session entitled 'Beyond Health: Multisectoral Approaches in the Era of the Sustainable Development Goals'. It has also organised the workshop 'Leaving no one behind? Reaching the informal sector, poor people and marginalised groups with social health protection' for the conference participants.

The SDC will also have a stand at the forum displaying a large amount of information on its health programme.

The conference is organised by the External Affairs Directorate of the Geneva University Hospitals and the Institute of Global Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva. The SDC is represented at the scientific and partner committee of the organisation. The Geneva Health Forum takes place every two years. This year's conference is the sixth edition. The SDC has been co-funding the Geneva Health Forum since its inception.
