Contexto |
The consequences of the Covid-19 are devastating: according to OECD figures, as many as 150 million additional people are expected to be pushed into extreme poverty by 2021. The disruption caused by the pandemic is compounding pre-existing trends of deepening inequalities, deteriorating working conditions and climate change. As the international community vows to build stronger, more inclusive and fairer societies and economies, the OECD Development Centre provides an inclusive space where OECD and non-OECD countries can discuss, as equal partners, the different development paths, innovative policies and forms of international cooperation. |

The overall goal of the OECD Development Center is to contribute to improved well-being through sustainable, inclusive growth and poverty reduction in developing and emerging countries. Switzerland’s institutional objectives with the OECD Development Center are to 1) foster plateforms that allow for inclusive dialogues between OECD Members and non-OECD Members on development related public policies; 2) to foster complementary with the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) and other relevant OECD entities to maximize knowledge sharing and learning on development challenges and opportunities. |
