International Cooperation Strategy

The International Cooperation Strategy is one of the thematic follow-up strategies to the Federal Council's Foreign Policy Strategy.

International cooperation is one of Switzerland's foreign policy instruments. Rooted in the Federal Constitution, it seeks to alleviate need and poverty in the world. It also aims to foster respect for human rights, promote democracy and protect the environment. The new International Cooperation Strategy 2025–28 is expected to be approved in 2024.
